KIPPS was founded to advance interventional pain medicine through high-quality education, academic exchange, and global collaboration. Through education, clinical practice, and international partnerships, we strive to help shape the future of pain medicine together.
Modern pain medicine is rapidly evolving toward precision medicine based on pain phenotyping and mechanism-oriented therapeutic strategies. Rather than relying on uniform treatment approaches, contemporary pain management increasingly requires individualized interventions tailored to each patient's specific pathophysiology and clinical characteristics. Accordingly, it has become increasingly important for pain physicians not only to develop strong academic foundations but also to systematically acquire skills ranging from fundamental techniques to cutting-edge interventional pain procedures, and to establish internationally recognized standards for education and competency assessment.

KIPPS aims to promote active academic exchange among domestic and international pain specialists and contribute to the advancement of safe, standardized interventional pain treatments. In particular, we seek to build a high-level educational platform that integrates clinical experience, the latest research, anatomy, fluoroscope-guided and ultrasound-guided techniques, and combined procedural training.
In addition, KIPPS is preparing to host the first World Institute of Pain (WIP) Symposium, Workshop, and Examination (SWE Seoul) in Seoul in January 2027. This will be a meaningful international academic program that integrates advanced education, cadaver workshops, and competency-based assessment systems, and will also serve as an important milestone in strengthening global collaboration and communication among pain physicians worldwide.
Moving forward, KIPPS will continue to advance pain medicine through workshops, cadaveric courses, academic programs, international collaborations, and diverse educational activities. Ultimately, we remain committed to improving the quality of life of patients suffering from pain.
Thank you.
